Ben Kimble Foundation Impact Award Nomination Information

The Oxford dictionary gives one definition of impact as 'a marked effect or influence'; while Merriam-Webster offers another definition as ‘the force of impression of one thing on another: a significant or major effect.’

Ben’s authentic, kind and welcoming personality had an enormous impact on both individuals and the community around him.  Ben poured encouragement, humor, empathy and energy into every relationship and aspect of his life.  From a young age, Ben developed meaningful friendships with his special needs classmates that continued into their teen years. Throughout his life, he was involved in a variety of sports and volunteer activities and he was committed to ensuring that everyone he encountered felt welcomed and included. His greatest joy however, was to make others feel happy. Ben instinctively connected with others and was truly a friend to everyone.

To honor Ben’s impact, a $1000.00 award will be presented to recognize one graduating senior who embodies Ben’s spirit of inclusion and his ability to connect with people of all kinds through kindness, encouragement, and friendship.
